CTW offers theatre classes around a specific topic! A perfect introduction to theatre for those who aren’t ready to commit to a full semester, or a focused study for those looking to boost their skills in a specific area!

Improv for Ages 10-12
Tuesdays, October 15-November 19, 2019
6:00-7:00 pm, $50
Minimum 6 students, maximum 12
CTW teacher Alex Zerby will focus solely on developing improvisational skills, to boost performance confidence and encourage actors to take risks and try new ideas! Students will work towards a final showcase and will put on a mini improv show!

Minimum 6 students, maximum 12
Just for the older kids, Alex Zerby will build on improvisational skills, guiding actors toward making dynamic, interesting character choices and sparking new ideas for stage performance! Students will work towards a final showcase and will put on a mini improv show!

Minimum 6 students, maximum 10
Put your stage skills on the small screen with our Acting for Film class. This workshop series will teach you how to leverage your theatre acting experience so you can shine on camera, as well as foundations of behind-the-camera work–including framing, composition, and introductory editing.

Sewing/Costuming Workshop
Saturdays, October 26-December 14, 2019
12:00-1:00 pm, $50
Minimum 6 students, maximum 10
For the theatre kid–or adult–who wants to learn sewing and costuming, we’ve got a class for you! Trina Friedberg will teach foundations of hand sewing and machine sewing, fabric selection and care, and costume design! This class runs 12:00-1:00 pm, but you can stay 1:00-2:00 pm to just work on whatever project you’re excited about!

This program provides all needed materials including sewing machines.

Not interested in taking the class but have projects? You can also just show up 1:00-2:00 pm and get to work! Bring your machine or use one of ours!

Please note: There is no class November 30, 2019; CTW is closed Thanksgiving weekend.

Got a young one who’s always singing and dancing around the house? Bring them to CTW for an introduction to musical theatre! Each week will feature a different musical, like “Annie,” “Lion King,” and more! Students will learn singing, choreography, and play theatre games!
