Winter weather can affect CTW programming—please read our policies in advance of adverse weather conditions!

Level 1 Snow Emergency in Lucas County:

If there is a level 1 snow emergency in Lucas County, two hours before a class, program, or regular rehearsal is scheduled to begin, that class or rehearsal is cancelled. Example: a level 1 in Lucas County at 3:30 pm means a 5:30 pm rehearsal is cancelled.

Level 2 Snow Emergency in Lucas County:

If there is a level 2 snow emergency in Lucas County, two hours before a tech week rehearsal or performance begins, that tech rehearsal or performance is cancelled. Example: a level 2 in Lucas County at 5:00 pm means a 7:00 pm performance is cancelled.

Please note that school cancellation does not mean CTW class, rehearsal, program, or performance cancellation; we only cancel based on the Lucas county snow emergency system.

Rescheduling

In the event of a cancelled performance or program (like a winter workshop), CTW will offer a rescheduled ticket/enrollment, or a refund. In the event of a cancelled class or regular rehearsal, CTW staff will endeavor to reschedule as much as the CTW calendar can allow.

Communications when cancelling

If CTW ever cancels a class, rehearsal, program, tech week rehearsal, or performance, staff will email and call the families and patrons who bought advance tickets, using the information we have on file. We will also post on our Facebook and social media. Families are always encouraged to use their best judgment when choosing to drive, or not, in winter weather. We ask that you always communicate with your director or teacher when you will stay home due to winter weather.
