This play is based on the artwork, stories, newspapers, and poetry created by the children of Terezin, a “Jewish city” which served as a holding place for Jews who were unknowingly waiting to be taken to the camps during the Holocaust. This story celebrates the lives of the children and the way in which they maintained a sense of dignity and identity during a horrific time in European history.
“And a Child Shall Lead” is supported by the Stranahan Supporting Organization of the Toledo Community Foundation, and the Brotje Family Fund.
